Strategic Milestones And Collaborative Ventures

AST SpaceMobile is poised for the July or August delivery of 5 Block 1 satellites to Cape Canaveral and has also inked a milestone, 6-year definitive commercial agreement with AT&T for SpaceMobile Service. These initial five satellites will facilitate U.S. nationwide non-continuous service with over 5,600 cells in premium low-band spectrum. Furthermore, engagements with government regulatory bodies, including the FCC, are progressing as anticipated.

Continuing its strides, AST SpaceMobile is engaged in discussions with additional strategic partners, adhering to the framework of commercial payments alongside commercial agreements. The recent commercial agreement with AT&T marks a significant milestone in providing the first space-based broadband network directly to everyday cell phones.

Elevating Connectivity Through Collaboration

The formalization of a definitive commercial agreement between AT&T and AST SpaceMobile extends until 2030, superseding their previous collaboration under a Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement signifies a substantial leap towards enhancing connectivity for consumers and businesses nationwide.

Towards A Transformative Future

In order to prepare for low-Earth orbit launch, AST SpaceMobile is set to bring its first commercial satellites to Cape Canaveral this summer. These initial five satellites mark a pivotal moment, enabling commercial service that was previously demonstrated through several key milestones achieved in 2023.

The partnership between the two entities, which commenced in 2018, underscores AT&T’s integral role as a collaborator in this innovative connectivity solution. Chris Sambar, Head of Network for AT&T, is slated to join AST SpaceMobile’s board of directors, further solidifying their commitment to advancing technology and extending continental U.S. satellite coverage.
